Advanced Landscape Painting

The landscape is a challenge of light, atmosphere, and vastness. This advanced course moves beyond the “Blue Sky, Green Grass” formula. Students will explore “Atmospheric Perspective” to create depth, master the color palettes of different times of day (Golden Hour, Twilight), and experiment with Plein Air (outdoor) painting to capture the fleeting nature of light.

§ 01 By the end you can
  1. Master "Atmospheric Perspective": Controlling value and saturation for depth
  2. Execute "Plein Air" painting: Managing changing light and logistics outdoors
  3. Understand Color Temperature: Warm light vs. Cool shadows
  4. Compose complex scenes: Foreground interest, Leading lines, and Focal points
  5. Manipulate paint application: Impasto (Knife) vs. Glazing (Brush)
