3D Modeling for Interior Architects
This specialized course equips interior designers with the digital skills to translate 2D floor plans into immersive 3D environments. Students will master industry-standard modeling software (such as SketchUp, Rhino, or 3ds Max) to build accurate architectural geometry. The curriculum emphasizes spatial planning, custom furniture creation, and the art of “ArchViz” (Architectural Visualization) through photorealistic texturing and lighting.
§ 01 By the end you can
- Interpret 2D CAD drawings and extrude them into accurate 3D spaces
- Model custom furniture, fixtures, and joinery details
- Apply photorealistic textures and materials (PBR) to surfaces
- Simulate natural and artificial lighting for mood and function
- Produce high-quality walkthroughs and renders for client presentations
