Digital Printmaking
This course redefines the “original print” for the digital age. It focuses on the creation of Fine Art Giclée prints, moving students away from simple “reproduction” toward generating art specifically for digital output. The curriculum covers high-resolution scanning, advanced color management, substrate selection (Rag, Canvas, Washi), and the integration of digital layers with traditional hand-finishing techniques.
§ 01 By the end you can
- Master the "Digital Darkroom": High-res scanning and retouching
- Understand Color Management: Monitor calibration, ICC Profiles, and Soft Proofing
- Operate Large Format Inkjet Printers (Epson/Canon): Maintenance and nozzle checks
- Experiment with substrates: Printing on non-traditional surfaces (Aluminum, Fabric)
- Create "Digital Monoprints": Variable data and hand-embellishing prints
